the bad flashback, Walt :-) I think the G. confluens was the only thing I brought in at NEMF which made it to the Show. Well, except perhaps for the Mycena rutilantiformis that I had mistakenly IDed as Psathyrella connisans…. I think it was M. rutilantiformis. Forgot to write the name. Looking at Phillips now.
Actually, G. confluens had been a point of emphasis for me. I don’t know the genus very well, and about a month back I had posted a clustered Gymnopus as possibly being confluens. Noah explained that those specimens had stipes that were not hairy enough. So, I was happy to ID the confluens.
I got tired of seeing it at the foray.
