than I expected.. but the spores rule out both of the suggested names. I can’t even guess what section it belongs to.

The specimen was collected after rain and was waterlogged when we brought it home. Hence, you cannot trust the color on the photo. In addition, Adolf is colorblind and he selects the colors he likes best.

I added a photo of a dried specimen and of my drawing that shows microscopic characters.

The smell was that of “a water drop on hot iron” or that of “mineral oil”.

C. callisteus is a pale yellow cort (cap, gills and stem, all yellow).
I have no idea what this is though.
