On ground in mulch, clumped to scattered. Cap conic, off-white, up to 4 cm, with fine buff scales and light brown umbo. Flesh thin, white.
Gills off-white, free, .7 cm broad, close.
Stalk thin, .3-.4 cm wide, fibrous, longitudinally lined. 3-4 cm long, brown at base, pinkish brown at top. Base flares to small pea size. Partial veil off-white, tissue-like, collapsed, on upper half of stem.
Spore print: off-white/buff
