Observation 74975: Amanita flavoconia G.F. Atk.

When: 2011-08-30

Collection location: Forest near Elgin St., Pembroke, Ontario, Canada [Click for map]

45.804056° -77.139968°

Who: Paul Derbyshire (Twizzler)

No specimen available

Three or more of these, in Zone 39 in and near the special moss under jack pine.

I left the baby one to grow in peace. I wasn’t able to get the base of the stipe with either of the others due to ground conditions there, but I found one in D8A later (separate observation) that had erupted in such a manner that I have a decent shot there that didn’t even require uprooting it.
