patterns and/or distinctive odor are sometimes helpful with these red/yellow Boletus types.

I agree with Dave and Walter. The gargantuan size and non-Xerocomoid pores/tubes make it a Boletus sp. in the bicolor group.

do not generally attain cap diameters of 7 inches. This mushroom looks to be too large/robust for X. rubellus.
