Three old(wrinkled) fruit bodies found close together(unusual in my experience with the velvet stemmed pax) on a large Douglas fir stump. Canopy is almost completely Douglas fir.
Stem- Dark brown, velvet.
Gills- usually light tan, these are very dry specimens and have almost a copper hue. Gilles run down stem.
Cap- dry(like suede) brown and soft.
Temp: low 70’s sunny- been very dry and hot for the last two weeks.
