Observation 75463: Boletus edulis Bull.
When: 2011-08-14
No herbarium specimen

Notes: Found under blue spruce usually above 10,000 ft. in elevation. Species varied greatly in size from 20+cm at the pileus to small bottons. Seemed to fade from a dark red to an orange yellow and often crack in age. Don’t know if thats common or if my taxa is off. I think its fom the hot days with ’wall" of water comming down every afternoon for 15 to 30 minutes.
