When: 2011-09-06

Collection location: Forest near Elgin St., Pembroke, Ontario, Canada [Click for map]

45.808154° -77.132602°

Who: Paul Derbyshire (Twizzler)

No specimen available

White, with white latex, maybe discoloring very faintly yellowish after fifteen minutes (final photo); large and vase-shaped in age, smaller and roll-rimmed with a central depression in youth. No significant odor.

Could be anything in the L. piperatus/L. confragosa/etc. group, though the widely spaced gills eliminate some of the members of that group.

In Zone 45 north, under aspen, birch, maple, fir, and pine, possibly in other spots than the one indicated by the coordinates.
