Eye3 Eyes3
Recognized by sight: Rather large in stature found in red pine. Had warts, but most were washed off. No veil or ring on a smooth stipe. Volva remnants stayed in deep rooted ground.
45% (2)
Recognized by sight: Lack of an annulus and a combination of striate cap margins and a collared basal bulb would tilt the scales toward section Amanita rather than Validae. The presence of the stipal bulb should eliminate section Vaginatae from consideration.

Are you suggesting that your Amanita sp. S1 is the same as http://www.amanitaceae.org/?Amanita sp-S01?
