there are only three known Tricholomas that have that odor, and this looks way more like magnivelare than the other two. T. magnivelare’s stipe bases can be rounded.

Definitely Not magnivalare.

Very strong smell of Matsutake. Unfortunately, several were lost and there weren’t enough to cook. There were other Tricholomas that had a bad smell and they were common. These had rounded stipes, not pointed like the White Matsutake.
They have been found here last year.
