Hadn’t looked into the G.applanatum clade in depth. I knew there were some different macroscopic variations in the “Midwestern state artist conks” we were finding. Thanks again for the thorough descriptions on the updated species page(much needed). I am hoping more genetic sequencing in the near future will possibly get the whole G.oregonense/G.tsugae mess we have out here in the PNW cleared up too. Can’t assume they are one species simply due to region and temperature(or pore size for that matter, inconsistent).
