Notes: Determination not certain. Will check what develops from these very young sporocarps. The pictures have been taken during a very dry period of time with almost no other mushrooms growing around.
Habitat: Mixed forest, predominantly Picea abies and Fagus sylvatica; southeast inclined mountain slope, relatively warm place, limestone bedrock, in half shade, partly protected from direct rain by tree canopies, average precipitations ~ 3.000 mm/year, average temperature 5-7 deg C, elevation 980 m (3.200 feet), alpine phytogeographical region.
Substratum: Relatively fresh stump of a cut down Picea abies.
Place: Bovec basin, southeast slopes of Mt. Kanin mountain group, East Julian Alps, Posočje, Slovenia EC.
