Notes: Found on a friend’s lawn under Blue Spruce. Around here this is an unusual host for edulis, even though there’s plenty of planeted Blue Spruce.
No bluing noted on cut context, contect adjacent to pores, pores, tubes, or otherwise. Some darkening of injured tubes. This is a typical local (probably non native) edulis specimen.
With 12 inches of rain having fallen last weekend, followed by a sunny warmup, and another 0.3 inch in the forecast, I think we’re set up for a lot more of these.
