White, medium-large. Stalk and gills turn brown with age. Flesh stays white when cut. Buff spore print. Brown patch in center of cap on some specimens. Partial veil, which leaves an annulus in all specimens. Free gills. Bulbous base, but no volva. No scales or patches of tissue on the cap. On lawns. Not near trees, closest to an introduced crabapple.
