Notes: Found a large troop on a dirt road adjacent to a muddy spot, at about 9,500 feet elevation in a mixed aspen/conifer forest.

Large fruitings

I am now convinced that these thrive under aspen at high elevations in the rockies. Last month I came across hundreds of fruitings in Utah.
