These were not by the parking lot shelters or pine area. They were along one of the many paths walked in the hard woods that day. We parked at the south entrance ? and walked untill we found ourselves near the paths behind the toboggan run, north entrance?

Rare find for this site and Cook County.

Thank you for posting this. We only have one or two records of this species for Swallow Cliff Woods, during continuous sampling at this site for 14 years. This might be the only location so far for Cook County.

There is an area of white pine trees by the parking lot. Is this where you found it?
