Rhizomorphs not evident

These were definitely mature when we found them, but without rhizomorphs. Outer skin was very smooth, not bumpy or scaly. Odd. I really have no idea, but we have the very messy dessicata.

a thick, bright white peridium surrounding a brown sporemass with seemingly no trace of green.

I’d expect both the surface and peridium of a Calvatia to be more visibly aged and discolored by the time the gleba had reached such obvious maturity.
