I think these have it, in the very lowest part of the stem. It’s barely visible in other pictures on the web either.
The reason why I only choose a “could be” is that I’m not sure if you have the true joeides in North America, or just something similar.. I suspect that more than one species is hidden under that name.

I haven’t found any description that fits well. S. joeides is suppose to have a dark green stipe base. But the purple staining flesh fits…
