Observation 77933: Phlyctis agelaea (Ach.) Flotow
When: 2011-10-02
Who: zaca
No herbarium specimen

Notes: I return to the place of Observation MO77763 and looked for more specimens. I found some in the trees around. I decided to enlarge the place to observe and, about 150 meter from the original place, I found another specimen in a shrub already cutted. I believe that is of the same genus, but there are some differences, namely:
- In the color of thallus, the new one being more greyish, and the apothecia have no pinkish tones, with discs slightly darker;
- Concerning microscopy, the asci are shorter in general and with various forms, in contrast with the original specimen where the shape was regular. In addition it seems that there are less spores/ascus and that the spores are bigger.
