When: 2007-09-21

Collection location: Luga, Luzhsky District, Leningrad Oblast, Russia [Click for map]

Who: Danny Newman (myxomop)

No specimen available

Collected in the care and company of esteemed botanical illustrator and byeli grib/borovik hunter extraordinaire, Sasha Viazmenski. Elsewhere in these woods, the moss could get above knee-height, which came in handy for catching up on sleep after bartending all night.

Note the different forms of fung-o-vision produced by a delicate combination of rain, fog, sleep deprivation and Russian penthouse apartments.
