Notes: I think the fungus (Russula) is being eaten by a Zygomycete, similar to Rhizopus.

it requires making two separate observations using the same picture, addressing the host in one and the parasite in the other. we could see the option to have multi-species type observations on the site in the future though.

edit: as far as a name proposal for the parasite, anything from Zygomycetes to Damon’s proposal of Syzygites megalocarpus would suffice.

Agree with you, but how do I do it without creating confusion. The initial identification area doesnt seem to provide a solution.(eg Fungi >> Then suggested naming.) Can you advise me how to approach the problem please? All suggestions welcome. Should I categorise one ID under " Zygomycete" or “Rhizopus Group”?……. kk
