Notes: A gastroid form of Descolea with fairly large ellipsoid-fusoid utriculate spores and a peridiopellis similar in form to that of Descolea, an epithelium with thin walled ellipsoid to pyriform terminal elements.
The yellow staining of the outer peridium is a good diagnostic characteristic typical of the genus.
