I brushed a good bit of that off, but most of it is the bulb. I’m drying it to send to you. Except for an A. citrina (which broke when I pulled it up), it’s
about the only Amanita I’ve seen so far in Hawn this year. Last year I was finding rings of them.
I can’t be sure how much of the apparent bulb is really bulb and how much is soil. Can you help us understand that issue better? The amount of pseudorhizae is pretty impressive.
