Observation 7991: Hygrocybe (Fr.) P. Kumm.

No herbarium specimen

Notes: This fungi was so small I had touble getting a sharp enough image to post. At the time I was not at all sure what it was, but now think it was a Beef Steak Fungi. The colouring around the outer edge is a little different, but am open for suggestions. The size of the span was about >10mm and closer to 5MM. The rectangular rock is a tiny pebble. The images are not completely sharp around the extremities and I aplogise for this.The colours are accurate.

Hard to id without the underside

Based on just the photo, I would guess this was an Hygrocybe and thus gilled. The big thing for Fistulina are the independent tubes underneath.
