is more silky on Trametes versicolor. This is bristly, and I don’t know of any other Trametes with that combination of colours and zones, but several Stereum species have it.

Thanks for your input irenea! Without seeing the underside of these, I suppose the ID will have to remain somewhat uncertain… what makes you say Stereum? Just a note, I have a similar observation that currently has Trametes as the proposed name.
