Notes: I’ve noted these all throughout the upper Sacramento river canyon where the doug fir grow. The Strobilurus trullisatus were one of the first things to show up when the first rains came. They mostly appear around 2000’-3000’, although I observed a few as high as 6000’ near Medicine Lake, CA.
