Notes: All of the flavoconia collections we found in this place were extremely small when fully grown.

Recognized by sight: Without checking the microscopy, I can’t be sure of the placement. There are other taxa that could be confused, but I don’t know if they occur in Mexico. At the moment, the spores of var. inquinata are proportionately the broadest of the group (including similar numbered taxa as well as named ones). Too bad there was no herbarium specimen. – R
