Habitat: Alpine Fagus sylvatica forest, modestly steep mountain slope, south oriented, relatively dry and warm place, calcareous ground, half shade, exposed to direct rain, average precipitations ~ 3.000 mm/year, average temperature 6-8 deg C, elevation 890 m (2.900 feet), alpine phytogeographical region.
Substratum: Fallen, partly rotten, but still partly in bark Fagus sylvatica trunk.
Place: Lower Trenta valley, settlement Lemovlje, above the trail from the settlement to TV repeater, East Julian Alps, Posočje, Slovenia EC
Comments: Determination highly uncertain. Not enough data gathered in filed. Growing solitary, totally resupinated, no brackets developed, sitting on the lowest part of the fallen trunk. Fruit body length about 18 cm (7 inch).
