Yeah, my camera sucks.. i can’t change the speed setting on it.
Not sure what type of moss, i think spaghnum peat moss.
It was very tall moss.
I’ll be going back to the area soon, so i’ll get a print.

Should get a spore print here.

If the spore print is brown (or light brown) this could be Galerina, if white it could be Mycena (or others…).

You wouldn’t happen to know which kind of moss this is here?

Also it would be good to have sharper photos, these look like they have motion blur. You should look at the camera and see if it has a speed setting, where you can fix the speed on the shutter, and let the camera make up the rest in f-stop and iso settings. Then set the speed to 1/20 sec., which seems to be the best compromise in shady forest, and I’m assuming this was in the shade with low light.
