Recognized by sight: Certainly looks eaten by slugs, and possibly munched for other critters as well. Looks to be erumpent from wood, though. That would exclude Russula as I know them.

This really seems like a black art. Well I finally got a great book on mushrooms but must admit, mine doesn’t seem to be there.

It looks like a Russula that has been eaten by slugs. The upper left corner has a slime trail visible.
