Observation 8101: Cortinarius (Pers.) Gray

No herbarium specimen

Notes: I took only one shot of this fungi. I dont know or remember why, but looks like this is it. I think it might be a Laccaria but I am not sure.

Recognized by sight: Browning gills, apparent rusty spore drop at stem base, possible cortina remnants on stipe. I’m with Doug on this one! No spore print possible, unless Ian comes across more fresh material…

You need to check spore color here to be sure, but I think I see some cortina towards the base of the stipe, and this might be a cort. But check the spore color, to see if it is brown or white.
