Notes: Gloriously huge. Veil present, gills only visible through gaps chewed by little beasties.

Try crushing a piece of the stem, or the gills and then sniff away.

But no particular smell came to my nose. It was mildly mushroomy, but beyond that nothing distinctive. What do you think?

I’m going back tomorrow to smell again.
