Notes: Small white, gelatinous brain-like eggs were found buried in the dirt of a flowerbed the Berkeley Marina. When cut in half, the eggs revealed a gelatinous interior.
-After a few days, the eggs began to ‘hatch’ into a pink basket-like mushroom that smelled foul and attracted many fruit flies.
-Dried specimen part of a personal collection temporarily being held at UC Berkeley
