Notes: FERP and upper campus. Growing on Madrone. For a week or two it seemed like these guys were on maybe one in every 4 or 5 downed madrones i came across. In a few locations growing with ob:81750 and ob:81751 (both of those observations were growing with this fungus).
There was some variability in cap color from the brown scales to more gray and smoothish, possibly due to weathering.
very common, I have noticed it previous years.
