Observation 82293: Cortinarius subtortus (Pers.) Fr.

Notes:
Brought to the SVIMS Mushroom Show, Victoria, October 30, 2011
Most probably collected in the Sooke area, W of Victoria, BC

This Cortinarius has unique characters, i.e., large cheilocystidia and pleurocystidia that are partially enveloped by amorphous substance (see the drawing).
