Observation 82435: Cantharellus californicus Arora & Dunham

No herbarium specimen

Notes: Most of these seem clear-cut. Found in very moist live oak duff. Some have ridges that seem almost like pores. All are heavy for their size. Some appear a bit old – any negative consequences with eating those?

They are probally a bit old. Hanging out under the duff probally since the first rains we’ve had. Some look like the edges are dark and “curled” that, I believe is from moisture and cold weather (aka freezing). Just trim the bad edges off and they should cook up nicely.
