There were more hardwoods in the area but a decent amount of pines as well. Juniperus virginiana was scattered throughout.
Whenever I go back out there I can look at the particular species and report back.
How mixed were the woods? All hardwoods? Any hints on the trees. We see it under live oak on the California coast, but I always wonder if the California stuff is the same species as the rest of the world.
