Growing from the forest floor along the path, the forest was rather mixed, conifers and hardwoods. Has an fragrant anise/licorice scent.

Unidentified greenish Sierran species

In Mushrooms Demystified a greenish Clitocybe similar to C. odora is mentioned that occurs in the Sierras under conifers with a distinctive non-anise odor. Does anyone have anymore macroscopic or microscopic info on this?
