Notes: growing in the mulch under redwoods, in amongst a patch of Agaricus xanthodermus (see post# 8327).

Admittedly not a great photo. It was very shady under the redwoods and what light came in caused the caps to overexpose. The remnants of partial veil tissue still adhering to the margin of the cap are pale yellow. The gills have the characteristic smoky-purple color of Stropharia spores.
