Observation 83282: Leratiomyces ceres (Cooke & Massee) Spooner & Bridge

Notes: This mushroom was growing on wood chips gregariously and has a distinct bright red-orange and slightly viscid cap and attached, dark purple-brown gills with a white stipe. It was found on the ground in a relatively grassy area. Furthermore, the spores are smooth and elliptical with a germ pore and stain brown in KOH.

My collections of this species from Mexico have chrysocystidia and I wonder how they compare.
