Notes: These appeared to be almost growing on the base of a tree and some on a dead log right next to the standing tree. They did seem to be at least growing on woody debris.
Caps were up to 8.2 cm across. The photo doesn’t show it too well, but the caps did have a dull violet tint to them.
Spores were ~ 7.0-8.0 X 5.0-6.0 microns and moderately rough.
KOH on the cap was neg. to very sl. gray.
