This is from our class trip, we had several collections of it, it was very common. I think I have the species right here, but its mostly by eliminating other possibilities. This is a small piece of a bigger collection.

Recognized by sight: pale color, limited branching, slighly bitter taste when dry
Used references: Exeter et al. Ramaria of Pacific Northwest, Arora, Mushroom Demystified
Based on microscopic features: spores 9-11 X 4.7-5.4, minutely ornamented, no clamps
Based on chemical features: non-amyloid stipe, not reacting with FeCl3
