Observation 83477: Mycena galericulata (Scop.) Gray

Herbarium specimen reported

Notes: These were growing rather scattered on the old log that is pictured. Habitat was mostly Bays and Oaks.
Caps up to 4.8 cm across, mostly wrinkled, thin-fleshed and fragile.
The gills were sinuate and turned pinkish in age. However, the spore print was whitish with perhaps a yellowish tint in deep mass.
Spores were amyloid, smooth, broadly ellipsoid @ ~ 8.0-10.0 X 6.2-8.0 microns.
Did not see any obvious Cheilocystidia.
