The photo of the spore isn’t perfect and doesn’t show a defined spine, but there appeared to be projections surrounding the spores.

Recognized by sight: Amethyst purple fruiting body, with a cap 2-4 cm broad, convex becoming plane, centrally depressed, not viscid, margin waxy, and a little lobed. Gills well spaced and sort of waxy, more or less equal and rather long stipe.
Based on microscopic features: subglobose or broadly elliptical; ornamented with spines
