Observation 83714: Mycena haematopus (Pers.) P. Kumm.

Growing on a log in a mixed forest (Tualatin Hills Nature Park).

Spores typically 8-11 × 5.5-6 microns, amyloid. (Why do descriptions give a narrow range 9-9.5 for the length?)

Caulocystidia differ totally from the picture in Robich’s book (“densamente diverticolati”), but that’s apparently OK: Aronsen says “clavate to irregularly shaped, branched to very coarsely diverticulate”
