Observation 84243: Agaricales sensu lato

Herbarium specimen reported

Notes: Found in grass, under pine.

Not sure where to go with this one. Brown, thick context, thin gills, strongly decurrent. Took a spore print, but didn’t get much, either lightly white, or lightly tan.

Yes, I know. I thought at first, but they seem a little too different. A good obs. from the of Rhodocybe gemina is here:


But here, the gills are thinner, more decurrent, spore color not so obvious, the caps darker and more randomly colored… Maybe it is, but not sure. I should put one under the scope, just to look at the spores at 1000x, that might tell me more quicker than just wondering…
