Observation 84278: Armillaria (Fr.) Staude

When: 2011-11-18

Collection location: Berrynarbor, Devon, England [Click for map]

Who: Lorraine Parramore (lorrainemx)

No specimen available

There were numerous clumps breaking out from the moss covered bark at the base of a pine tree on one tree only on very steep slope in small pine woods, plus a very small clump on a nearby dead stump. No odour. No sample any more advanced than ones shown. No sign of gills. Visited site 1 week later, all funghi completely broken down. No more in half mile radius.

Unable to identify funghi via ispot UK, Open University suggested I try this site. Suggestions please.
