Spore data in KOH thanks to Cristina Rodríguez Caycedo: [20/1/1] (9.0-) 9.5 – 11.5 × (5.8-) 6.0 – 7.0 μm, (L = 10.6 μm; W = 6.4 μm; Q (1.46-) 1.50 -1.81 (-1.85); Q = 1.66).

[added] The interwoven layer of hyphae extending beyond the bases of the warts in Lucy’s photo of the cap suggests the possibility of a relationship of this species to taxa in Bas’ stirps Ravenelii. Bas and Wood both place Australian taxa in this stirps. We will check out this possibility. We can say that if this material can be assigned to stirps Ravenelii, the spores are too small for A. pyramidiferina and too elongated for A. strobilacea.
