Notes: Large, pale, unusual grisette; section vaginata.* Very long cap striations, rapidly staining pink-red with handling on stipe and cap.

Altho it does share some characters with the grisettes, it is in fact an amidella, according to RET. Hey, there were a LOT of new amanitas out East, at least for this CA girl!
