just exercising caution. I vaguely remember trying to ID a sclerotia-less member of this group once and it getting really hairy, the stuff of microscopic distinctions, plus some sclerotia-forming spp. can become separated from their resting bodies. Not that it’s a terribly relevant comparison, but the Latin American M. juncea I’ve seen are uniformly orange and slightly translucent when fresh. Then again, those could all be altogether different species.

andreas post something this AM …T. phacorrhiza… that looks exactly like it, but have no literature on it.

What makes you say no to this actual naming however?
